Please verify that your child has been accepted into one of the Colchester School District's Community Partner Programs (listed below) before continuing with the registration process.
Vermont Act 166 was passed in 2014 and provides universal access to publicly funded prekindergarten education. All public and private prekindergarten education programs (including Head Start and public school operated programs) must meet specific requirements to operate a PreK program in Vermont. Qualified programs must provide at least 10 hours of instruction for 35 weeks to preschool-aged children.
For Parents who enroll their child into an ACT 166 Community Partner Program they will receive tuition funding up to $3,178.Enrolling children in Pre-K is voluntary. Families can enroll in these programs, in other early education options, or keep preschoolers at home.
To be eligible for tuition funding through ACT166 for the 2017-2018 school year, children must be at least three years old but not older than five years old before September 1, 2017.
