Pennies For Patients; Student council is excited to announce that we are starting a fundraiser called Pennies for Patients! All of the profits go to fighting Lymphoma and Leukema. The fundraiser will be going on from February 5th to February 23rd. Each TA has a collection jar so keep bringing in those pennies! The TA with the most money raised will win a pizza party!

The next CMS PTO meeting is March 20, 2018, at 6:00 pm in the CMS Library. The CMS PTO is a non-profit volunteer parent/staff partnership focused on supporting school-sponsored events and activities that encourage community collaboration for an enriching engaging education.
The CMS PTO will be meeting every other month (5/1/2018) during the school year and we would love to have you join us. If you have any questions, please contact our PTO President, Shauna Knapp, via email at email@example.com
The American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures recommends an annual well-child exam to address the physical, social, and emotional needs of a student. Doing so promotes attendance, enhances the student's ability to fully access and enjoy the educational experience and promotes better academic outcomes.
The CMS Kitchen Staff has a full sandwich menu at the sandwich bar. This is offered during all of our three lunch periods. There are speedy pickup forms for students and staff to preorder a sandwich. These forms can be found in the main office, in the cafeteria, and on the breakfast cart. Please return them to either the cafeteria or breakfast cart by 9:50 am on the same day that you would like your sandwich order. The breakfast cart can be found in the 6th grade wing Monday-Thursday 8:40-8:50 am and Fridays 8:20- 8:30 am. The cart is also on the 2nd floor by the elevator Monday -Thursday 9:30-9:40, Fridays 9:00-9:10 am.

Eighth grade students that would like to have their baby picture included in the 2018 yearbook need to submit a photo by Friday February 23rd. Students can either bring in a picture with their full name on the back and hand it in to Ms. Dodson at the front office or pictures can be emailed to Ms. Pawlusiak at firstname.lastname@example.org. Emailed images need to be in a JPEG format.
It's that time of year again for Blind Date With a Book! Check out one of the "blind date" books from the library. Take your "date" home and get acquainted. Turn in the rating slip to the library to let us know if you hit it off. All rating slips will be entered into a prize drawing for an AMC Movie gift card.

As we make the final push to the polls, we have one last video to share with you from our Your Vote Matters series. We've titled this video "Be the Difference" because we believe at the end of the day, it could come down to just a handful of ballots. As timing would have it, Superintendent Minor gets to share some exciting news with you in this video. (Spoiler alert: the tax increase is going to be lower than we originally anticipated!)
