Colchester High School's Video Arts Center features 12 Mac computer editing stations equipped with Mac editing software including iMovie and Final Cut Pro Studio. All students enrolled in Modern Media Impact, Film As Dramatic Literature, Journalism, and our independent study course- Advanced Media and Film have full access to the Center.

Students in other courses can use the Center for specific content projects and with approval from Mr. Coon or Mr. McCannell, the current Directors of the Video Arts Center.

Students use the Center to complete projects ranging from music videos, ads, short films, film scoring, to school specific projects such as Diversity Week films, and Smart Start films.

Media and Film students at CHS have won several distinguished Vermont and New England media awards within the past five years; and many have gone on to college to major in such fields as Digital Arts, Film Scoring, Film Study, Film and Television Study, Recording Arts, Digital Editing, Media Literacy Education, and Graphic Design. Most students got their start and early training using the CHS Video Arts Center.
