Hi!  My name is Erin Sorenson, and this is my eighth year of teaching. I have been in the Colchester School District for my entire teaching career. I also worked for two years as a copywriter in an advertising firm in Michigan, but I've found that teaching is where I belong!  I have taught kindergarten, Reading Recovery, and first grade. I love teaching first grade! Students at this age learn so much and are so enthusiastic!

My husband Justin and I have been married for six years, and our first baby (Will) was born in July 2008! Justin and I are both from Michigan and enjoy visiting there each summer and as many holidays as possible. We have a cat named Peso, and we live in Burlington.  We came to Vermont on a whim and we love it and are here to stay!

I graduated with my Master's in Education from St. Michael's College in May 2007.  I also have a B.A. in English from Western Michigan University and received my post-Baccalaureate teaching license from Grand Valley State University.
