Responsive Classroom During the first six weeks of school I will be implementing a variety of social curriculum strategies aimed at creating a community of learners. These strategies include morning/afternoon meeting and guided discoveries. Guided discovery is a teaching technique used to introduce materials, working areas or learning processes in the classroom. It can help children make a variety of good choices, use materials successfully and take better care of themselves, each other and their classroom. We will continue with a guided discovery per day until everything in the room has been introduced. This will take some time and can be frustrating for children until they have access to each center and activity. If you have any questions about this curriculum, called "Responsive Classroom" please let me know, I would love to fill you in more!
