There are so many wonderful things that we do and celebrate in second grade. A few things that we do are have a daily morning meeting, write and share stories during writing workshop, play a variety of math games, discuss stories during literature circles, study nutrition, friendship, plants, the polar regions, balance and motion, and of course have fun! I have wonderful parent volunteers that help in the class during reading, math, and Four Winds. I really appreciate their time and support in the classroom.

My name is Tammy Buckingham Davis. I am a second grade teacher at UMS. In the past, I have taught straight fourth grade and multi-age third and fourth grade at Malletts Bay School in Colchester. I am originally from a small town in Northern New York. I attended SUNY Potsdam College and studied Psychology and Elementary Education. I received my Masters of Education from St. Michael's College in December of 2003. I currently live in Colchester with my husband Jeff and my son Zachary. |
