"I like this book because it has a lot of detail. It is freaky on some of the parts. It is funny when she takes one of the kids and turns it into a glob. There are three teachers - one has warts, the other has a whip and last but not least, Mrs. Green - she is an alligator. She is freaky."

"Scaredy Squirrel is afraid to be bitten: by walruses, bunnies, beavers, piranhas, and Godzilla. He runs from a dog. He just became friends with a dog even though he was afraid, he faced his fears and became good friends with the dog. Time flies by when you're having fun."

"This book is about a ten year old girl who is learning to ice skate. She is afraid to ice skate because she thinks she is not good enough. Her mom gives here a necklace for good luck. With the comfort of her necklace the girl skates very well."

We're Going on a Lion Hunt, by David Axtell

"I liked this book because it has a rhythm to it. I  also like this book because they start out going to look for a lion and when they found the lion they went back the way they came but faster. The book is very fun to chant with and I can guess what is coming next. The words were not hard for me to read. And last but not least the pictures were really cool. I liked all the jungle animals too."

" It was interesting because the kids get yellow goop on them. The goop was actually blubber to help the kids swim back to the bus. The kids also were able to wear 'heat peepers' or goggles to see warmth."
