More Food at VT Food Shelves in September

Could you use some extra FREE food for your family?

If you are an active current 3SquaresVT (Food Stamps) participant and you have at least one minor child under the age of 18 living in your household, you may be eligible for extra food for your family!

The additional food is provided by the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Enhanced Food Program and includes:

• Canned chicken
• Canned corn
• Fruit cocktail
• Canned sliced carrots
• Honey nut cereal
• Peanut butter
• Pineapple cups
• 100% fruit juices boxes
• Spaghetti
• Frozen ground beef
• Shelf stable milk

Eligible families can visit one of the participating food shelves during September to stock up on groceries. Get your extra food now as it must be distributed by September 30, 2010.
