Homework Expectations 

  *Reading

    Read, read read!  Practice makes perfect.  It's important to read everyday at home.  Fifteen to twenty minutes a day is appropriate for most second graders.

    *Math

    Buddy Study!  Practice math facts daily.  This is done orally and it only takes about two minutes.  Homelinks are sent home a few days a week.  These are designed to do with a parent and they reinforce what is being taught in the classroom.

    *Spelling

    Spelling lists  are sent home every Monday.  Friday is test day.  Students should practice everyday for a few minutes.
