Most students at M.B.S. will have homework Monday through Thursday nights. It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of homework assignments and to write them down in his/her homework notebook. The assignments will be written on a chart in the classroom and students will be given time to copy their assignments in their notebooks. Homework must be returned to school the next day. Students who have difficulty returning homework will be asked to get their notebooks signed by their parents.

 The following schedule will give you an idea of a typical week.

 Mondays: 

·        Spelling-Students receive their spelling list for the week and write their words three times each.  This not only helps with visualizing the words, but it is a lesson in penmanship as well.

 Monday-Thursdays

·        Spelling worksheets (such as sorting and vocabulary development.)

·        Math home links

·        Occasional language papers, fact work, and long term projects.

 As a rule there is no homework on the weekends unless students choose to work on long term projects.
