Project Microscopy
UVM Lab technician, Jan Schwarz, conducted a two hour workshop titled Project Microscopy for all of our 5th grade students in early October. The purpose was to promote science studies for this age group. Students visited ten different stations. In each station students answered questions using a microscope. Stations featured a look at fingerprints, fabrics, pond life, brine shrimp, salt sand, kitchen powders, and other items. Students were fascinated to see these everyday items drastically change their look under the microscope.
