Health InsuranceThe Vermont Education Health Initiative (VEHI) is a large, non-profit purchaser of health care plans for Vermont's school employees. This self-funded, fully-insured purchasing trust is managed jointly by the Vermont School Boards Insurance Trust (VSBIT) and the Vermont-National Education Association (Vermont-NEA). VEHI purchases health plans on behalf of Vermont's public school employees, including teachers, administrators, secretaries, custodians, and other school district employees. Colchester School District administrators who are eligible for health insurance have a choice between two of Blue Cross Blue Shield's health plans (a.k.a. VEHI's Dual Option Plan):

Dental InsuranceNortheast Delta Dental provides dental insurance coverage for Colchester School District employees who are eligible for participation in our dental plan. Delta Dental is a not-for-profit organization established and supported by dentists to make more dental care available to the general public. A substantial majority of dentists in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine participate in Delta Dental through Participating Dentist Agreements. Life, AD&D, LTD InsurancesUnumProvident provides Group Life and Long Term Disability insurance coverage for Colchester School District employees who are eligible for participation in these plans.
