Principal’s Message
CMS
is pleased to announce that Ms. Dickinson has been named as the new Principal
of our school. She will assume her new
duties and responsibilities July 1, 2008.
(Way to go Ms. D.!) Additionally,
CMS has been celebrating our achievement of making Adequate Yearly Progress
through our NECAP results, and recognizing and honoring our teachers and
support staff as part of Teacher/Support Staff Appreciation Week. As a community we have many reasons to
celebrate!
Colchester District Art Show
The
K-12 art show continues through Friday, May 9th in the CHS gym. Work is on display from 8 to 8 on Thursday,
and 8 to 4 on Friday. Teachers may be walking their classes over to CHS. If you would prefer that your child not go,
please contact your child’s teacher or the art teacher, Mr. Albright via
e-mail.
Odyssey of the Mind Fundraiser
This Saturday the 10th, from
9-1, the Odyssey of the Mind Team will be hosting a yard/bake sale at CMS to
help raise funds for the upcoming trip to the World Finals in
8th Grade Photo
The 8th
grade photo is scheduled for Monday, May 12 at 12:30pm. Rain date is May 13, same time.
Track Meet Info
The
track meet on Saturday, May 17th is an away meet. Students need to
be here at CMS by 7:30am; the bus leaves here at 8 and the meet starts at 10. The bus should return to CMC at 5:30pm.
Last
day of School
The last day of school for our 8th
graders will be June 9th and for the 6th and 7th
graders June 10th. More end
of the school year information will be forthcoming in future issues of Thursday
Thoughts.
The
Teen Night is a great place for students to hang out with friends, play pool or
ping pong, and listen to music.
Admission is free. The snack bar
is open to purchase burgers and other items.
Teen Night is open this month on the 15th, 22nd
and the 29th, the LAST TEEN NIGHT of the school year. Contact Diane
