OVERVIEW

 

This workshop is geared toward one primary Colchester School District goal: 

 

“To have all of the web pages finished and ready to be added to the school’s web page.  You will be required to add a link for homework if applicable to the content taught and a link for newsletters.  There will be time for you to make any desired changes as well.”

 

The statement above is based on the Colchester School District’s Technology Plan which includes the following statements:

 

1.       “…to work on integration of technology into the curricular areas.”

  • “…integrating technology into all the curriculum areas will help improve academic achievement for all students.”

2.       “…to provide a sufficient learning environment to support technology education.”

3.       “…to develop opportunities for students to access a variety of technologies that support classroom learning.”

Hence, you will bring each of these ideas into reality.  You will leave the workshop with a complete set of web pages that will be published to the CHS website the following day.  Your web page(s) will include the minimum of a:

bullet home page
bullet homework page
bullet newsletter page
bullet link to your e-mail address
Since the workshop has been organized by department, the Department Leaders / Team Leaders will need to meet individually with the CHS webmaster after the workshop lecture to determine the layout of departmental pages that will incorporate each individual teacher’s web page content.
