Dear Parents, Students, and Community,
I begin my principalship knowing that Colchester High School is an outstanding institution. CHS has a tremendously talented student body, a supportive parent community, and an extremely dedicated faculty that we are very proud of. My administrative team will be working together to assure that these three constituent groups function in harmony and do whatever is necessary to facilitate communication, collaboration, and collective efforts among all of the key members of our school community.
In recent years CHS has experienced tremendous growth. I am committed to working with the faculty to evaluate and improve the systems and programs that we have at CHS. My vision for CHS over the next year is to ensure that everything we do supports the district's mission and is in the best interest of students.
What excites me more than anything else about the upcoming school year is the prospect of working closely with the students of CHS. The administrators will be working together to increase our interactions with students to provide us the opportunity to maintain and cultivate relationships. These relationships are essential to the success of a school. It is critical that students feel a part of the educational process and have a voice in determining the course of their high school experience. To put it simply, when students are engaged, involved, and happy school becomes dynamic, exciting, and successful.
CHS is a special place. It is a school of unparalleled community support and commitment to student learning. As principal, I pledge to uphold that commitment and to work collaboratively with the families of Colchester to ensure a productive, enjoyable and enlightened high school experience. The dedication of our students, faculty, staff, parents, and community has improved the educational experience and educational quality for our students. I am committed to providing the school with the tools needed to provide an educational experience for students' that is embedded in rigor, relevance, and relationships.
